Presentation Instructions

Instructions for Oral Presentations

Oral presentations are limited to 20 minutes plus an additional 5 minutes for questions. Due to the number of presentations and a tight schedule, please do not exceed these limits.

Presentation facilities include an overhead projector for transparencies and an LCD projector connected to an Internet-connected PC. A MAC will be available if needed. The PC will run under Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 and will have available Netscape 7, MS Internet Explorer 6, MS Office 2000 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0. It is recommended that presenters bring transparencies as a backup in the unlikely case of any technical difficulties.

Presentations should be loaded onto the presentation computer any time prior to the session containing the presentation.

Presenters should also plan to provide copies of their viewgraphs or papers for distribution to participants as large-scale copying facilities will not be provided.

Presenters wishing to use their own portable computers and/or require other special arrangements are requested to contact the organizers as soon as possible: Email: iaea-tm-computingfusion.gat.com

Instructions for Poster Presentations

There will be two poster sessions, the first on Monday evening, and the second on Tuesday afternoon. Each will last about 1.5 hours. A short time slot will be available before each session in order for presenters to set up their posters.

Presenters should also plan to provide copies of their viewgraphs or papers for distribution to participants as large-scale copying facilities will not be provided.

This will be an experiment in using "portable" poster panels. They are not heavy-duty rugged poster panels and participants need to be careful in their use of the poster panels. Each consists of 3 panels. Each panel is about 3 feet (90 cm) high by 2 feet (60 cm) wide. It is possible to attach a larger paper poster across 2 panels. Materials to attach the posters will be provided.
