MDSplus Satellite Meeting
Interest has been expressed in having an MDSplus developers' meeting to follow the IAEA Technical Meeting, as was done at the last meeting in Padova, in 2001. Thus this satellite meeting would be held:
Thursday 24 July 2003 09:00 to 17:00
Friday 25 July 2003 09:00 to 15:00

The following topics for discussion have been requested thus far. Please email twfpsfc.mit.edu if you would like to suggest additional topics.

1) Migration from OpenVMS to Unix
2) PC data acquisition integration issues
3) Steady-state / long pulse issues
4) MDSplus as repository for modeling/analysis codes

We would also like to get some idea of the number of people planning to attend the MDSplus Satellite meeting. Please email
twfpsfc.mit.edu if you are planning to attend. This meeting will consist of informal free flowing discussions on MDSplus related topics. Feel free to just come and listen and/or share some of your experiences with the rest of the MDSplus user community. This page will be updated as more topics are identified.

Important note if you are NOT attending the IAEA TM meeting and are ONLY attending the MDSplus workshop. You must do a. and possibly b. below.

a. Contact Tom Fredian (twfpsfc.mit.edu) as he will have the official list of MDSplus only attendees.

b. If you are NOT a US citizen, then you MUST fill out the Non-US Citizen form on the IAEA TM web site.

Under the question:

"PURPOSE OF VISIT, IF ANY, OTHER THAN ATTENDING IAEA MEETING"

enter - "attending MDSplus workshop only"

in addition to any other comments regarding purposes of the visit. Note that it is imperative that this be done immediately.
