Further information for speakers at DFW
Speakers may find the following guidelines helpful as they prepare for the upcoming meeting of the Toroidal Alternates Panel.
Main concept presentations (60min, 40 slides total presentation for each concept: ST, Stellarator, RFP, CT)
10-15 minute overview of concept ITER-era goal, issues, and status
45-50 minute presentation addressing questions from TAP Concept Working Group.
Knowing the enthusiasm and inquisitive nature of the participants, it's likely that time will become an issue during the 2hr concept sessions with the panel. Therefore, speakers are encouraged to start with the questions related to the ITER-era goal and those 3-5 questions related to high priority issues. Written questions from the Panel that can be answered by a simple clarification or calculation are best left for last as time remains or for slides contained in the viewgraph package or submitted to the public comment page on the Panel website.
We will be using a computer for presentations. There will be wireless in the meeting room. If you bring your talk on a memory stick we will transfer it to the presentation computer. PDF files are preferred for compatibility of fonts and graphics.
Public comments (60min total each day). Need to receive your request before noon on the day you want to speak to guarantee a slot.
vg, ~5min each speaker
Presentations most helpful to panel: alternate viewpoints on goals, high priority issues, facilities, or gaps; clarification of any one of these; comments/suggestions regarding panel charge and process. Those making comment are encouraged to submit their viewgraphs or supporting text to the community input page of the TAP website. Viewgraphs are not required to make a comment.

We look forward to an informative and engaging meeting in Dallas. Thank you for investing time and serious effort in this process.
