The Department of Energy Office of Fusion Energy Sciences (OFES) has announced that they are receiving applications for supplementary travel funding to allow researchers and graduate students who are members of the fusion energy science community to participate in the Snowmass 2002 Fusion Energy Sciences Summer Study to be held 8-19 July 2002 in Snowmass Village, Colorado. The following applies:

• Funding must be as a supplement to a current Office of Fusion Energy Sciences grant.
• Preference will be given to requests to supplement existing grants funded at levels less than $200,000.
• Requests for travel and per-diem funding of up to $2500 per person will be considered.

Please note that the Department of Energy is continuing to consider applications for travel even though it is past the date listed in the notice. However, applications must be received at the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences no later than Thursday, 30 May 2002.
