EC-15 Program

Sunday (9-March-2008) : Bus pickup at the Fresno Airport at 15:00, afternoon and evening registration with a reception 19:00-21:00

Monday (10-March-2008): First day's scientific sessions

Tuesday (11-March-2008): Second day's scientific sessions, conference banquet, and, following the banquet, a solo acoustic guitar concert by Laurence Juber, formerly lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's band, Wings

Wednesday (12-March-2008): Third day's scientific sessions in the morning, conference excursions in the afternoon, evening scientific sessions

Depending on the weather, there will be several choices for the conference excursion. For the adventurous, more or less the swimming group from EC-14 on Santorini, we will have a ski/snowshoe or hiking trip to a grove of giant sequoias, the largest living things on earth. Equipment for this will be available in the park. If you think this might be for you, please bring clothing appropriate for an easy to moderate cool weather sojourn in the forest. As the conference gets closer, we will post the snow cover information and weather trends on the conference web site. We also will arrange for an informative nature and photography tour in the Valley in the event of horrible weather on the excursion day or for those wanting a more relaxing time. This tour will feature the fantastic photos of Ansel Adams, one of the real pioneers of this art form and discussions by park rangers of the many beautiful and interesting things which can be seen in the park at all times of the year.

Thursday (13-March-2008): Fourth day's scientific sessions, summaries and closing ceremony

Friday (14-March-2008): Busses depart for the Fresno Airport at 8:30
