If you are not from one of the 35 Visa Waiver Program Countries the visa process has not changed. They should access the U.S. Embassy website in their country for visa processing information.
The authorization is obtained at no cost, online through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization "ESTA", a free online application administered by the Department of Homeland Security "DHS".
The traveler can apply via the ESTA web site at: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. There are several unauthorized websites, which charge the traveler for this process, but they should not be used. The process is free and these sites are scams. Use of these sites also does not expedite the granting of approval to travel to the United States.
When you obtain a visa through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization "ESTA", a number will be assigned to you for this travel to the United States.
Please email your ESTA number to Lupe Cerda (cerdafusion.gat.com). Copy email to Punit Gohil (gohilfusion.gat.com). Also, you need to enter your ESTA number on the non-U.S. citizen form (see point 2 below)
- Complete and submit the non-U.S.
Citizen form by March 9, 2009. Note that
submissions after this date can be accepted, but there is no guarantee
that
approval
for entry to GA will be completed before the meeting.
- Complete and submit the registration
form by March 23, 2009.
