The DIII-D tokamak facility is located in Sorrento Valley, about a mile from the main part of the General Atomics site. (This map is also available in PDF format for high quality printing.) Proceed to the main facility entrance for proper badging and admittance.

For visits to either facility an advanced reservation must be made either with your host or through the educational tour system.

• Take the I-5 North.
• Proceed north for 13 miles. Exit Genesee Ave, then turn LEFT.
• RIGHT on John Jay Hopkins Dr.
• RIGHT on General Atomics Ct. proceed to end (Administration Bldg, with 3 flags flying).
• Park in "visitor" space and get badge from Visitor Reception Center.

From Los Angeles:

• Take the I-5 South.
• Exit Genesse Ave, then turn RIGHT.
• RIGHT on John Jay Hopkins Dr.
• RIGHT on General Atomics Ct. proceed to end (Administration Bldg, with 3 flags flying).
• Park in "visitor" space and get badge from Visitor Reception Center.
