Charter of physics working groups: The five physics working groups
will prepare a uniform technical assessment of the three burning
plasma experimental options. Specifically, each group will evaluate
each option with regard to
(1) the new physics to learn (the device's capability to contribute),
(2) the readiness to proceed (will a particular physics phenomenon
impede the goals of the device?),
(3) the relation or contributions of the device to other fusion concepts, and
(4) the impact of the different options on the fusion development path in this
particular physics area.
