Remote participation
How to see all participants at once on the
ViewStation
There are several ways to participate remotely in the meeting
depending on your needs and local capability. Note that room 15-018
has a single Polycom Viewstation with H.323 capabilities. We can
zoom the camera in to see the screen (but maybe not at the
resolution you'd like), or zoom out to see the participants.
There is, of course, audio capability either using the H.323
connection or on speakerphone.
The direct phone number to the conference room is 858-455-2024. This
can be used as a speakerphone, but it's better to use the
instructions below to dial in to the H.323 conference. This
will allow you to hear all of the participants and it will
keep the phone in the room free so you can call and tell us
the H.323 system isn't working for you (not that that would
ever happen!).
Regardless of how you are connecting, please remember
to mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
- Room audio and room video, 2-way
The ESNET H.323 Ad-Hoc MCU video conferencing
services are used. For those using H.323-based systems,
enter 0011349 88 333 to connect.
- Room audio and video, 1-way (you can see
and hear us, but we can't see or hear you)
The video and audio also will be streamed over the web.

How to see all participants at once on the ViewStation
When you first begin your videoconference, you will probably just see one
remote participant site on your screen. You may not even know how many
there are until you hear a disembodied voice from a site you didn't know
was connected. If you press Far and ↑ (see the figure),
the screen will change so that there is now one window for each
participant.
