The 29th Workshop on MHD Stability Control will take place from Monday, July 21st, 2025 to Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 at Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, USA.
This year, the workshop is co-located with the Theory and Simulations for Disruptions Workshop (TSDW, July 23-25) and closely located with the International Tokamak Physics Activity Topical Group on MHD, Disruptions and Control meeting (ITPA-MDC, July 16-18, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory).
The scope of the workshop includes active and passive control of MHD modes such as kink, interchange, and tearing modes. This workshop is open to scientists investigating tokamaks as well as non-tokamak devices such as reversed field pinches and spherical tokamaks. Informal presentations of work in progress are encouraged. There will be a significant fraction of time allocated for discussions.
This year, the theme is "MHD measurement, control and modeling of three-dimensional structures in magnetically confined fusion plasmas". However, all abstracts in alignment with the scope of the workshop are welcome.
The workshop is now accepting abstracts. We are looking for 8 invited and 24 contributing speakers, along with poster presenters. We ask all presenters to participate in person. Zoom connections will be provided for the audience. All speakers are invited to a special issue in the PPCF journal, which statistically more highly cited. Use this form (https://forms.gle/CEWJdRGMXEssSjMg8) to submit your abstracts now. The deadline is June 2nd, 2025.
Please contact the chair of program committee James Yang (jyang@pppl.gov) for details.
