The physic al meeting will be held at the Spokane Convention Center. This is the sam e location that the  American Physical Society (APS) Division of Plasma Physics (DPP) Annual meeting will be held in the following week\, and the same travel / lodging is recommended (details here). Remote participation will be available through Zoom\, with details provided to registered parti cipants the week prior to the meeting.\n\nInvited speakers\n\nThe seven in vited speakers are the following:\n\n\n Takahiro Bando\, Toyohashi Univers ity of Technology\n Laszlo Bardoczi\, General Atomics\n Chris Hansen\, Uni versity of Washington\n SangKyeun Kim\, Princeton University/PPPL\n Ryan S weeney\, PSFC\, MIT\n Yuki Takemura\, National Institute for Fusion Scien ce\n Yumou Wei\, Columbia University\n\n\nCOVID-19 considerations\n\nFor i n-person participants\, this Workshop will uphold vaccination and maskin g protocols consistent with those of the larger APS DPP meeting that will follow at the same location.  Up-to-date COVID-19 guidelines from the APS DPP are available at the following web page: https://www.aps.org/meeting s/policies/covid.cfm.  Please review these guidelines prior to attending the meeting.  The guidelines include strong recommendations\, but complia nce with the recommendations will not be verified for individuals in atten dance.\n\nNote that one of the listed strongly-recommended best practices for attendance is "being vaccinated and having had all available boosters. "\n\nAnother signficant strongly-recommended best practices for attendanc e is "taking an at-home antigen test no more than 24 hours prior to arrivi ng at a meeting or a PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to arriving at t he meeting."  This Workshop is considered to be an extension of the main DPP meeting\, thus the timeline for strongly-recommended testing pertain s to the time of arriving at this meeting before the DPP meeting\, rathe r than the APS DPP meeting itself.\n\nWhile masks are not required\, they are still strongly recommended.  The above linked site also states that APS "will be tracking local infection rates.
