Time Dependent Analysis using EFIT

  • Objective
    • Make a series of EFIT runs at a number of timeslices for a particular discharge using one of the specified SNAP files by running in SNAP extension mode 7
    • The ouput A EQDSK files are then combined into a single data file named E(shot).FIT for viewing (using REVIEW code) by running the post-processing code SUMMARD
  • Details
    • Must set KEQDSK=2 to avoid G EQDSKs otherwise taking up too much memory space
    • Must set ITEK to a proper value to avoid plotting otherwise end up with a very large PLTOUT.OUT file
    • Need all A EQDSKs
    • Must check convergent and fitting errors
