DENSITY_METHOD

Definition

Method to define ion density for RADIAL_PROFILE_METHOD=3; that is, when profiles are read from INPUT_profiles.

Choices

  • DENSITY_METHOD=1: Use raw profiles.
  • DENSITY_METHOD=2: Offset main ions to enforce charge neutrality.
  • DENSITY_METHOD=3: Offset all ions to enforce charge neutrality.

Comments

  • Charge neutrality means n_e=\sum_i z_i n_i\,\! .
  • DENSITY_METHOD=2 is preferred when there is a single main ion (as in a standard Deuterium plasma).
  • DENSITY_METHOD=3 is designed to offset D and T equally in a D-T plasma.
