Definition

The order of the blending functions used in the Maxwell solver.

Choices

• BLEND_FIT_ORDER=2: Piecewise-linear ,
• BLEND_FIT_ORDER=3: Piecewise-quadratic ,
• BLEND_FIT_ORDER=4: Piecewise-cubic .

Comments

• The finite elements (blending functions) are all translates of localized polynomial "blobs".
• The values of BLEND_GRID are constrained:
  • If BLEND_FIT_ORDER=2, then BLEND_GRID 3,
  • If BLEND_FIT_ORDER=3, then BLEND_GRID 5,
  • If BLEND_FIT_ORDER=4, then BLEND_GRID 7.
