Hotel Reserved for Workshop Attendees

A block of 60 rooms is reserved at the Del Mar Inn for the period 28 April 2001 through 5 May 2001 for attendees of the Burning Plasma Science Workshop II. The Del Mar Inn is located three miles from the Workshop site at General Atomics and lies within easy walking distance of Del Mar beaches and restaurants and village center. Some of the rooms have ocean views and others have kitchenettes. Complimentary parking is included.

A special Workshop rate of $79/day (plus 7.75% tax) is offered. This is a very favorable rate for the location and season. Check here for listings and URLs of alternate near-GA lodging options.

The Del Mar Inn's cutoff date is 28 March 2001 for individuals to make reservations and/or cancellation/arrival changes without penalty (one-day charge) after booking to your credit card:

Be sure to mention GA/Burning Plasma Science Workshop II. Bookings at the special Workshop rate after 28 March 2001 (or if all 60 rooms are reserved, before 28 March 2001) are on an as-available basis at the Inn's discretion. The Inn has 81 rooms total, so bookings beyond 60 rooms or after the cutoff date may be difficult to obtain.

The block reservation dates allow for a Saturday night stay-over before or after the Workshop. However, please specify your arrival and departure dates as accurately as you can at the time you make your reservation, since arrival date changes requested after the 28 March 2001 cutoff date may result in assessment of a one-day cancellation charge and cancellation of your entire booking.
